The 2026–27 FBA peak window runs Oct 15, 2026 to Jan 14, 2027, and the same inventory bills at a higher rate inside it. Sellers who price for November with September's fee card get a storage invoice they did not plan for.
| Window | What applies |
|---|---|
| Jan 15 – Oct 14, 2026 | Non-peak rate card; fuel surcharge 3.5% from Apr 17 |
| Oct 15, 2026 – Jan 14, 2027 | Peak season: fulfillment moves to higher peak bands; storage triples; fuel surcharge applies on the higher base |
| Jan 15, 2027 onward | Next non-peak card (subject to that year's schedule) |
| Storage line (standard size) | Off-peak | Peak (Oct–Dec) |
|---|---|---|
| Standard-size storage, per ft³ | $0.78 | $2.40 |
| Large / oversize storage, per ft³ | $0.56 | $1.40 |
| Example: 6×4×2 in unit, 60 days | ~$0.04 | ~$0.10/month |
Fulfillment bands also step up for the window, and because the 3.5% fuel surcharge is calculated on the fulfillment fee, your per-unit surcharge grows with it. A $6.67 peak-band fee carries a $0.23 surcharge, not the off-peak $0.15. The surcharge does not pause for the holidays — it compounds the peak bands, which is why Q4 per-unit logistics cost always feels higher than the October estimate suggested.
Storage bills on what is sitting in the warehouse, not on what is selling. A SKU that ships 600 units in late September and moves 200 a month will still carry 400 units at the peak rate through October, 200 through November, and whatever is left through December. Build the months-in-warehouse number into the peak toggle before you order holiday stock — over-ordering into $2.40/ft³ storage is the most expensive inventory mistake of the year.
Flip the peak toggle and the calculator re-stacks storage and fulfillment against the Oct 15 – Jan 14 schedule:
Yes. From Oct 15, 2026 through Jan 14, 2027 fulfillment fees shift to higher peak bands, and the 3.5% fuel & logistics surcharge applies on top of those higher fees. Storage rises the most visibly: standard-size items move from $0.78 to $2.40 per cubic foot.
