Fill the fields in order — price, cost, category, weight, dimensions, ad spend — and the tool applies the 2026 banded rate card for you. Most wrong answers come from three fields being filled with reasonable-looking numbers that are actually the wrong ones. Here is what each field really wants.
The order in the table is the order to fill them in. Price and cost set the money frame; category and dimensions set the fee structure; ad spend and the toggles set the assumptions. Fill it wrong and the answer is still precise — just precise about the wrong product.
| Field | What it means | What to enter |
|---|---|---|
| Selling price | Your landed buyer price before tax | The price on the listing, not after coupons |
| Landed cost | What one unit cost you: product + packaging + any prep | Your supplier cost per unit, not the shipment total |
| Category | Sets the referral rate — flat 15% most categories, 8% electronics, tiered beauty/clothing | The exact browse node your listing uses |
| Unit weight | The product's actual weight | Ounces, on a scale — not the billed weight |
| Length / width / height | The finished box dimensions | Inches of the packed unit Amazon scans |
| Ad spend (%) | PPC spend as a share of revenue | 10% is the typical starting assumption |
| Fuel surcharge toggle | The 3.5% fee on fulfillment, effective Apr 17, 2026 | Leave on — it is real for every 2026 sale |
| Peak storage toggle | Switches storage to the Oct 15–Jan 14 holiday rate ($2.40 vs $0.78/ft³) | On if your stock sits in Q4 |
| Inbound freight | Shipment cost spread across units | $300 across 200 units = $1.50 each |
| Placement fee | Inbound placement service fee for single-point shipments | Minimal split: roughly $0.14–$1.90; Amazon-optimized splits are free |

Skip fields you genuinely do not have yet. The two you should never guess are landed cost and ad percentage — they are the lines that decide whether the answer is honest.
The fields below are pre-filled for a typical $24.99 home product — adjust each one to your own numbers:
Enter the product's actual unit weight in ounces, not the billed weight. The calculator computes dimensional weight from your box dimensions (US divisor 139) internally and bills the greater of the two — which is how FBA itself prices fulfillment in 2026.
